Pet Stores Guide

Article Title: Pet Stores Guide
Author: Pertic Brendon

You will find these days that with the advent of the bigger pet
stores that there are more people going in for getting a pet.
This is mostly because a lot people are like me and are a sucker
for a cute puppy face staring at you through the windows of the
many pet stores. These pet stores know how to reel you in and
will place the cutest and most adorable animals in the window
for passersby to see.

This in turn is known as good marketing procedure since they
will get more customers walking into their stores. And unlike
the days of yore where you might have found a zealous store
manager ready to chase you away with a broom if you were only in
the store browsing and not buying, these days it is quite
different. Pet stores will welcome any and all who cross their
threshold because there's a good chance that you will at least
walk out with some little gadget for your pet.

And if you don't have a pet, if you like what you see you might
recommend this pet store above the other pet stores to your
friends who do have pets. You might even find yourself so
entranced by what you see that you'll be walking out of the
store with a new fish tank under your arm, or perhaps even a
simple bird feeder, or bird bath to put up in your garden.

This is really the ultimate goal of all the pet stores, and
without even realizing it you will be doing exactly as they
wish. A great plus for all these pet stores though, is the fact
you will almost always find that the employees are well educated
about the animals and the various gadgets and devices that
accompany them.

You will of course come across one or two pet stores whose
employees aren't well informed and who could care less about you
the customer, but those stores are few and far between. Most pet
stores will want your returning custom, and will go out of their
way to make sure that you come back to them.

After all if you have a pet or just got a pet, then you'll need
many things over the years, and you can become their best
customer if they play their cards right. There is however,
something just as nice about the old fashioned corner shop pet
stores run by only one or two people.

I find these types of pet stores to be even better than the
department store variety, and will go out of my way to go to the
pet stores down past my house. They all know me by name and even
know my pets' names! I always like that personal touch and
that's really what keeps me going back again and again.

Helping Our Pet Companions Recover and Maintain Natural Health

Title: Helping Our Pet Companions Recover and Maintain Natural Health
Author: Jennifer Kays

Helping Our Pet Companions Recover and Maintain Natural Health
Anyone who has experienced having a pet, knows beyond a
doubt of their vital importance for our lives and emotional
health. Whether it's a dog that warns us of danger,
protects us or comforts us when we're feeling "down" or
it's a cat in a hospice that curls up beside a dying
patient to be with and comfort them in a time of deep,
mystical transition beyond words and cognitive
understanding. Pets have been a important part of providing
companionship and comfort for elderly people. Dogs, cats,
horses, and other animals have been our children's teachers
providing lessons of love, responsibility, confidence,
sharing, comfort, strength, courage, play, communication,
laughter and many other essential life lessons. It has
been shown that the touch of a pet literally improves our
physical health as well as our emotional health.

We share so much in common with our animal friends. We
realize that part of what we share with our pets are health
concerns. Just as we do, our pets can suffer from
allergies, infections, heart disease, asthma, arthritis,
kidney and urinary distress, wounds, excess weight gain,
joint pain, eye conditions, skin disorders and other health
concerns or chronic disease. It is extremely painful to be
in close relationship with our pet for years and then lose
it to an illness that cannot be reversed or treated. Often
the powerful drugs that carry the risk of harmful side
effects also carry that risk for our pets. Often these
drugs only suppress the symptoms of an unwanted health
condition. In time, these health conditions can become
worse and require more frequent does of drugs or stronger
drugs. Often the drugs seem to have cured the health
disorder only to have the health disorder return with
increased discomfort when the drugs are stopped.

Because of this, many of us have chosen to actively treat
and prevent our pet's health disorders with alternative
therapies that are fulling a large gap left by conventional
animal medicine. Many alternative natural pet care
supplements and remedies are a measure of prevention that
will save our pets unnecessary suffering and discomfort and
provide our pets a general healthy well being that greatly
improves our lives and enhances our relationship with our
pet companions. It is our responsibility to do for our pet
friends what they are unable to do for themselves.

We can help our pet companions by avoiding feeding them
foods with high fat content or excess grain. Even then,
many pet foods lack essential vitamins, minerals, amino
acids and essential fatty acids vital for our pet's health.
We have available to us, many natural vitamin and mineral
supplements. Some of these natural vitamins and mineral
supplements are in "treat" form that excite and please our
pets and afford us a chance for playful interaction with
our pet friends. Natural pet health care products help with
joint pain recovery, motion sickness, nerve calming, muscle
relaxants, digestive health, skin and fur health and eye
drops for clarity, oral health, weight control and bladder
i.e. urinary health. Also available are natural shampoos
and insect repellents for our pet's comfort and health. We
even have available to us, natural aromatherapy products to
control unwanted order and enhance our pet's emotional
wellbeing.

We are grateful for all the wonderful ways that our pet
companions enhance our lives and help improve and our
physical and emotional health and well being. We are
grateful for the lessons that our pets have taught and
continue to teach us. We can actively demonstrate our
appreciation, respect and responsibility for our animal
friends, by attending to their physical and, yes, emotional
health by providing our pets with natural pet health care
products that keep them safe, healthy, vibrant, and active.
Our efforts are beyond obligation. Our caring for our pets
is motivated by our gratitude and love.

What Should You Know About Pet Medicine?

Article Title: What Should You Know About Pet Medicine?
Author: Pertic Brendon

Just like when you or any family member is ill, when you find
that you have a sick pet medicine is what you'll be needing to
give it as well. Your pet is just as much a family member as
anyone else, especially if they have been with you through your
good times and bad. Some pets might be childhood friends who are
now in their old age. Pets need medicine as well, so you'll need
to see their wants when they fall sick as well.

It's easy enough to pick up a pet at the pet store and think
glibly that you will care for it, then forget all about it as
time goes by, but that isn't playing fair by your pet. It too
should expect to be cared for and looked after well into its
dotage just as you would an older relative. There'll also be
special pet medicine that you will need to get for your pet when
it falls sick.

Animals are prone to the same whims and fancies of fate that we
are, and they also get the same diseases and illness that we do.
Not exactly the same but more of the pet version, which is why
they need pet medicine. So don't feed your human medicine to
your pet as this could be lethal.

If you're interested in administering to pets however, you
could of course become a veterinarian. These wonderful people
are the shamans of the pet world and will know exactly what pet
medicine to administer to your pet when the need arises. If you
feel the calling in your blood to look after animals and care
for them, then this could be the route you were looking for.

This could unlock your hidden talents and set you on the path
of a great career. That is of course only if you enjoy being
with pets. If not then this job is definitely not for you.
However, if you have a pet, you'll still need to be able to give
your own pet the prescribed pet medicine in the right dosages,
at the right times.

Look after your pet with great care. You'll never find the same
lifelong love and devotion from anyone else that you would from
a faithful pet. One pet is worth a thousand people who will only
stand by you in the best of times. So remember that your pet
needs medicine too, just as we do and give them the pet medicine
they need.

Jobs With Pets

Article Title: Jobs With Pets
Author: Pertic Brendon

Pet jobs can encompass many things the least of which is a job
held at a pet store. There can be a variety of pet jobs to
choose from, like working at a zoo, or animal shelter, or
perhaps even a pet store. You could always find pet jobs around
your neighborhood as well. After all walking the neighborhood
dogs can be considered as a pet job, right? What do I mean by
pet jobs then? Basically I'm talking about jobs that entail your
handling or coming into contact with animals of all shapes and
sizes.

This can cover many things as you must be aware, but what would
you be expected to do on any of these pet jobs. If you were
working in a pet store there a few jobs that you would
definitely have to do and these would encompass a large number
of responsibilities. From feeding all the animals first thing in
the morning, and in most cases last thing before you leave as
well, to cleaning out their various cages and hutches etc. You
would be required to help customers who come into the shop, and
be able to direct them knowledgably through the store.

If they ask you a question about the various animals and
paraphernalia that they can find in store you should know about
it. And if they have questions regarding the requirements of
their pets you should be able to answer those as well. It's not
required that you can do all of this from the beginning but it
does help. And if you don't know the answer to any of the
questions you should be able to admit it and go find someone who
does know the answers and get them to help the customer.

The same applies if you're working at a zoo, but without the
whole customer part. You will need to be knowledgeable about the
animals you're going to be working with, but if not don't worry
as these particular pet jobs will almost always come with some
form of on the job training so that you don't walk into the
lions' cage in the middle of feeding time by accident.

Pet jobs at animal shelters are really quite different,
although the basic cleaning, feeding and caring for of the
animals and birds still remains. But unlike with a zoo, here you
don't need to be worried of walking in on the lions. Pet jobs at
animal shelters may also be more emotionally heart rending as so
you will come across so many distressed birds and animals who
need your help.

If you love animals though there's no better job that you could
take than to work with them. If you feel the calling to nurture
and be with animals in your bones, then listen to it, not
everyone is equipped to do pet jobs.

Pocket Watch Chains For The Stylish Pooch

Article Title: Pocket Watch Chains For The Stylish Pooch
Author: Bradlley Mckoy

Your pooch is royalty, and she knows it. After all, she's
getting all the tender loving care and pampering she needs from
you 24/7. Of course, she's way too good for common vinyl and
plastic dog collars. She's a classy lady, indeed, and what she
wears around her neck is nothing less than classic pearls or an
elegant pocket watch chain.

Oldies but Goodies

Normally for you, a broken necklace or a pocket watch chain
will either be thrown out into the rubbish or buried somewhere
in your jewelry box, never to be seen or used again. After all,
you have more where that came from, and you simply can't be
bothered with an old broken necklace or pocket watch chain.

Think twice, though. That old necklace or pocket watch chain
can be made to hang prettily around your gorgeous Cocker Spaniel
or lovely Bichon Fraise's neck. When you really think about it,
it's such a waste to throw out such a valuable piece of metal.
Who better to wear an old necklace or pocket watch chain back to
life than her royal highness, your puppy? Not only can she wear
it with elegance and panache, she'll be the most stylish and
classiest dog around.

Dressed to Kill

But who says you have to stop there? Of course, a little
princess has to have the finest frocks. Designers today have
ventured into the untapped mine of pet fashions for the rich and
famous and their beloved pets. You can now dress up your
precious little dog in names like Dolce and Gabbana, Armani,
Gucci, and Prada. Watch her strut the streets in style in cute
little outfits that range from sexy to cutesy, preppy to chic.

Your little pet wasn't born to fit in. She was born to stand
out, and that's exactly what she's doing. With a lovely old
necklace or pocket watch chain around her neck and the latest
puppy fashions, she'll certainly be the belle of the ball.

Fit for a Princess

You can't expect your precious little puppy to walk around all
day. Her little feet won't be able to cope. What else do you do
but carry her around? Of course, being the little princess that
she is, she always has to be carried around in style.

Aside from a line of puppy clothing, designers have also come
up with classy purses that you can carry your pet in. There are
many designs to choose from, depending on your dog's
personality. There are carry-on purses in trendy pastel colors,
sexy leopard and zebra prints, and even basic black and navy for
a more serious look. Mix and match the purse with your pet's
outfit for the day and prominently display her bling-bling –
necklace or pocket watch chain – for all to see. She'll
definitely love the attention.

Indeed, your puppy is your best friend and you only want what's
best for her. She totally deserves the royal treatment. After
all, she's a real princess, and you're her queen mother.

Resident Dog Meets Latest Four-Footed Family Member

Article Title: Resident Dog Meets Latest Four-Footed Family
Member
Author: Joann Henry

Even though dogs are very sociable creatures, introducing a new
puppy or dog to the resident pup in charge, can be problematic
at times. Not all dogs are receptive to having a new critter
taking some of the attention away from them. You will need to
prepare your house for the new arrival before you bring them
home. Put the dog toys, bones, food bowls and beds away, whether
you have ever seen the resident dog show jealousy when they are
around another dog before or not. This is easily accomplished
and will help make things go more smoothly.

To avoid any territorial issues, it is best not to bring the
new dog or puppy to your house or yard for that first
introduction. Take them to a neutral area and keep both dogs on
a leash. Ask a friend or a family member to go along so each one
of you has control of one dog. Let them be dogs & sniff each
other. They may bark or growl a bit or try to climb on top of
each other, just keep an eye on them and try not to intercede
until you see some type of clue that indicates a probable fight
lurking. If you have more than one resident dog, introduce each
dog to the new arrival separately before bringing the group
together. Allow them to do whatever it takes (short of taking a
chunk out of each other) to establish a relationship, with as
little intervention from you as possible. After the initial
meeting in a park or other common ground and IF they got along,
bring them into your home together, keeping them on a leash.
Take the leash off of the habitant dog when you first come
inside, but allow the new pup to explore the house with the
leash still attached. You can let the pup off of their leash but
only if the resident dog seems relaxed and cordial towards the
new family member.

Continue to follow your normal routine as far as meals, walks,
playtime and bedtime are concerned to keep things more familiar
for the resident canine. Spend quality time alone with each dog,
to bond with the newcomer, and also to make sure that the older
pooch does not feel as if they are being replaced by the
'outsider'. Monitor the dogs and how they interact with each
other before you leave them alone together. This may take a few
weeks until you see that they are comfortable enough with each
other to be in confined quarters together with no human
supervision.

Do You Need A Pet Friendly Apartment?

Article Title: Do You Need A Pet Friendly Apartment?
Author: Darlene Berkel

If you have just purchased a puppy and are planning to move
into an apartment, then you could have some interesting times
ahead of you – there are pet friendly apartments out there, but
you will need to train your dog before you move in.

What Are Pet Friendly Apartments?

The first thing you need to do before you move to a pet
friendly apartment is train your dog to go to the bathroom
outside. Now, if you are a person that either works from home,
or is home most of the time, this process will be easier than if
you are away working for long periods of time.

The most important thing to do is contain your animal in a
particular area of your current living place – usually this is
the kitchen as the tiled floor makes it easy to clean. Give
your pet a treat each time it uses the bathroom outside, until
the pet begins to associate the treat and the behavior, making
it more prepared for the pet friendly apartment.

The next thing you need to train your puppy not to do is chew
on various furnishings. Since puppies are teething, the will
most likely chew whatever they can get their mouths on. When
left alone without someone to tell them not to, they can easily
destroy things.

You need to make sure this does not happen when you move – some
people do this by spraying the puppy with water when it chews
something other than its toys. Eventually, your pet should stop
chewing things that it shouldn't.

Of course, there is also the issue of shedding. Now, while this
is something that pet friendly apartments do not address, it is
something that you should address, so that you can have a clean
apartment. If your puppy is the kind that has short hair, you
will have less of a problem in this area, but it will shed all
the same. Thus, it is important that you have your puppy
groomed, and you brush it on a regular basis.

Many pet friendly apartments will charge you a one time fee of
a couple of hundred dollars – others have a payment plan where
you pay a small amount extra each month for the privilege of
having a pet. Either way, it is important to make sure that
your dog behaves well and does not cause damage to the
apartment.

You should be able to find a listing of pet friendly apartments
online, or one in your local newspaper. You could also ask
around the housing associations in the area to see if any of
them offer pet friendly accommodation.

Dog Crates - Why Using A Crate Is An Invaluable Dog Training Tool

Article Title: Dog Crates – Why Using A Crate Is An Invaluable
Dog Training Tool
Author: Joann Henry

Having the right dog crate when you start raising a new puppy
is essential for various reasons. Some puppies do not yet know
how to cope with large open spaces since they are new to the
home and a perfect size dog crate can help calm him down. Dog
crates are also a fantastic way to easily housebreak a puppy.
All in all, a good dog crate is an invaluable training tool
regardless of what type of puppy you have.

Dog crates are also a perfect solution to puppies that become
overexcited. All you have to do is put your puppy inside the
crate in order to help him relax. If your dog has to be left in
the house unattended for a few hours, then having a crate is a
stress-free way for you to be gone from the house and not worry
about your puppy getting into trouble around the home or soiling
the carpet.

Dog crates are also a great way to feed your puppy in case he
becomes easily distracted. Simply put his food bowl inside and
off he goes in an enclosed area where he can focus on eating his
meal.

And here are a few more tips when it comes to using a dog
crate:

1. Make sure that you get the appropriate size crate based on
your dog's height and width. This is especially important if you
are housebreaking your puppy with a dog crate. If the box is too
large then your puppy may use the bathroom on one side, but keep
sleeping on the other side, which defeats the purpose of crate
training in terms of potty training.

2. If you have a fast-growing puppy, then consider buying a
large crate that is meant for an adult dog but that has a
divider built into it. This way you can divide the crate in half
so that your puppy will be able to lie down comfortably and
still be able to turn around if needed. A divided dog crate can
also be used for your larger puppies by removing the division
bracket.

3. One last aspect of using a dog crate that you should
consider is the type of bedding that you place on the floor.
Some dog owners have noticed that their puppies still use the
bathroom inside even though the crate is the appropriate size
for potty training. In most instances it turns out that the
bedding that they laid down was a little too thick and had a
tendency to induce urination in dogs. Instead, try to lay down
less comfortable bedding that your dog does not consider to be
used for urination, like newspaper for example.

7 Secrets Your Family Pet Can't Reveal

Article Title: 7 Secrets Your Family Pet Can't Reveal
Author: Leslie Gerard

Studies have indicated that people who have pets may live a
longer and happier life thanks to their four-legged friend. Not
only can stroking your cat or dog provide a sense of calm, but
it can also ease depression and anxiety. It's easy to see why
we love our pets, but many may be surprised to know just what
they are thinking. Believe it or not, there are some
fascinating secrets that your furry little friend literally
can't reveal.

They smile. Even though it isn't as obvious as when you or I
smile, your pet can put on a happy face. Animals have facial
expressions that stem from the use of muscles that can spark a
grin.

They love you every day. Unconditional is a term that means
something that is without condition, and that's how your pet
loves you. Even if you've had a bad day or everything else in
your life seems to be going wrong, your pet loves you. He/she
cannot verbally express this, but they can show you through
their actions and response to your presence.

They dream. Have you ever watched your pet sleep only to see
their legs moving, their nose twitching or other quick movements
that may suggest dreaming? If so, there's a very good reason.
Your pet probably is dreaming but, unlike humans, they cannot
communicate their emotions through words. As a pet lover, you
will learn to recognize the signs of a dream the longer you
watch your four-legged friend sleep. Awakening suddenly with a
frightened look may suggest a nightmare, so be ready to comfort
your pet and reassure them through loving strokes.

They recognize the tone of your voice. Most people will tell
you that their pets can understand them and, who knows, maybe
they can. But one thing is for certain; pets respond to the
tone of our voices. If we have anger or stress in our tone,
they pick up on it immediately. The same is true of happiness,
which typically sparks a positive reaction. The fact that tone
is important is proven when you scold a pet verbally and he/she
crouches as though they have done something wrong, or when you
praise them with kind words and they seem to bask in the
attention.

They miss you when you're gone. If you've ever read a magazine
article about pets, you may already know that countless animals
have been known to become destructive when left alone in a home.
The reason may be more than just bad manners. In fact, it may
be a serious case of loneliness. Animals recognize us by our
scent, which is why puppies and kittens often like to curl up
with something that reminds them of their new family. Reading
material often suggests rubbing a shirt or blanket over your
arms before giving it to your pet so that it will think of you
and feel close at all times. When you are gone, your pet does
miss you. If you doubt it, pay close attention to their
reaction when you arrive home.

They are eager to please. Believe it or not, animals actually
like to learn tricks and commands so that they can make you
happy. Have you ever noticed how happy a well-behaved dog is
when he/she receives praise for honoring a command? This is
because most pets want nothing more than to make their family
happy. Of course, just like people, they have those moments
when nothing can grab their attention. But more often than not,
your pet just wants your approval.

They have association skills. Because most animals have good
memories, they also have the ability to associate one event with
another. For instance, teaching your dog to sit means to make
him/her associate the command with an action. The same is true
of an event, such as a visit to the vet or a walk in the park.
Animals are smart and their impressive memory further confirms
it.

Now that you know what your pet may be thinking, you can
attempt to understand him/her better. Hopefully, you can take
this newfound understanding and use it to make your relationship
with your pet purr-fect.

Easy Pet Adoption Tips

Article Title: Easy Pet Adoption Tips
Author: Pertic Brendon

If you're looking for a pet to keep the long lonely hours at
bay then you might want to consider pet adoption. Or if your
kids want a pet and you can't say no to their beseeching little
faces you can think about pet adoption. But before you do go and
adopt a pet though you should be thoroughly aware of what you're
getting yourself into. By adopting a pet into your family you're
making the same commitment to it that you would make to any
living thing that you were responsible for.

Some people even think of their pets as their children, and
ultimately this is what it will amount to. Unless you're looking
at a cat for your pet adoption scheme, then be prepared to have
to pander to its every needs and whims. And just like with a
young child, you'll need to house train it! You'll also need to
teach your pet some obedience, especially if you get a dog.

Cats on the other hand are slightly more easier in that they're
independent creatures who will only look at you and come to you
when they need a free meal ticket. You also probably won't be
able to teach a cat to behave itself, and a special behavior
school for cats probably doesn't even exist. That doesn't mean
that you'll have to take cats off your pet adoption list. It
just means that you'll need to be aware of the nature of your
cat.

Birds are an easy choice for pet adoption but be warned, they
can be noisy, especially some species who like to get up with
the rising sun and sing you a lovingly screeched chorus at the
top of their lungs. And they have no discrimination whether it's
your weekend or not. You'll also need to constantly clean out
their cages, keep enough bird seed and water around, and
remember to never let it loose in the house if you also went and
got a cat when you were doing the whole pet adoption thing.

There are a few places that you can look into if you want to
adopt a pet. These can be animal shelters, pet stores, or
perhaps even a neighbor or friend who's moving away and can't
take their pet with them. Then again, if you only want a trial
run before you start your pet adoption process in earnest, pet
sitting your friend's pet while they're away for a whole year
might give you an insight of what's needed from you. Then again
it won't be the same as having your own pet, so if you think
you're ready go ahead with your pet adoption plans. There's
nothing better than being the proud owner of a cute little
puppy, or kitten, or bird, or, well you get the idea right.

Prevent Pooch Poisoning!

Article Title: Prevent Pooch Poisoning!
Author: Joann Henry

Most people know, unless they have been on some deserted island
for decades, that chocolate is not only bad for dogs, it can be
potentially deadly to them. There are some other foods that are
perfectly safe for all of us to consume, but could cause some
very toxic reactions to your little four legged friend should
they ingest them.

Keeping in line with the whole chocolate theme, any candy,
chewing gum or breath fresheners that contain xylitol could also
have a lethal effect on your pup. I am sure that some of us have
considered tossing our pooch a mint to help combat their
halitosis, but there are special dog treats and bones that are
sold in both pet stores and grocery stores that will help take
care of that problem.

Some of the other foods that are harmful are no real surprise,
either. Salt is just not very good for any of us and dogs are no
exception. A few of the items listed would probably not enter
into your mind as a possible treat to give your pet. Coffee
grounds and tea are two of them and another potential problem,
fatty foods, should be banned from the universe for all of our
sakes. Alcohol is another culprit, with yeast dough, onions and
garlic, avocados and macadamia nuts rounding out the "dangerous
list".

Pet owners are told to feed their dogs treats that are healthy
for them. Normally, fruits and vegetables would be a perfect
choice. However, there are a couple of fruits that people would
be shocked to know of their toxicity. Grapes and raisins are
deadly to your pooch pal, therefore they should never be given
either of them. The fact that dog trainers used both of these
foods as rewards for the dogs effort is extremely scary. This is
the most worrisome of all of the foods that were previously
mentioned because grapes are so inexpensive and plentiful during
the summer months. Both the grapes and the raisins could cause
your furry family member to develop acute renal failure- yes
even from a handful of raisins. If you think that your dog may
have ingested a potentially deadly substance, call the ASPCA's
Poison Control Hotline, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year @
888-426-4435.

problems. Some of them might not be so bad, but for the most
part if you have a dog health problems will also abound. You
just can't stop that.

It's as natural as breathing, and although you might take steps
to prevent this, there's really only so much that you can do,
and so much germs and bacteria that you can fight. And for the
most part you would be successful but there will still be unseen
germs lingering around biding their time until they can strike.

thorough check-up at the same time is always good. You can't
stop there however and will need to keep up the shots and the
check-ups on a regular basis. Your vet can tell you how often
you will need to bring in your dog. And your vet can also tell
you what you need to do to keep your dog healthy.

Brushing his coat daily is a good way to get a silky and shiny
coat. If your dog's coat starts to lose its luster then you know

appointment with the vet as soon as possible to see about proper
treatment.

and will keep your dog's mouth clean and fresh. Regular bathing
will also help to ward off whatever dog health problems that may
occur otherwise. Feeding him a balanced diet will be the best
way to keep him healthy. Don't give your dog any of the junk
food that's so bad for you, and definitely stay away from the
chocolates, they're toxic to your dog health problems will
abound if you ignore this.

If you own a dog health problems will arise, you can't get away
from that fact, but there are a few things that you can do to
avert mishaps. As long as you realize there's nothing you can do
to completely eradicate the germs and bacteria that are sure to
abound, and take action accordingly, you and your dog should get
along like a house on fire.

Easy Guide For Adopt A Pet

Article Title: Easy Guide For Adopt A Pet
Author: Pertic Brendon

It's adopt a pet day at your local pet store and you just can't
resist running down there to see if there's any cute and
adorable pet that you can get for your niece. When you get there
however, you find the place is so crowded that you can barely
stick a finger inside let alone get inside to find the right pet
for your little niece. You stare in frustration at the teeming
mass of mama's and papa's with their little boys and girls
looking eagerly to adopt a pet of their own.

Who would have thought that so many people would be pet-less
and want to adopt a pet on today of all days. Granted it was
adopt a pet day but this is bordering on the positively
ridiculous. There's a good chance that the pet store had never
had so many customers in the few years since it had opened. Fits
and starts of excited yapping intermingled with delighted little
cries of joy were ringing through the air at regular intervals.

Two hours later and you can just about stick a finger in there.
A little better but not by much, however you feel your hopes
start to rise. You hadn't found anything else that might
constitute as a suitable replacement to your adopt a pet idea,
and if the crowds were thinning then there was a good chance
that you would be able find the right pet for your niece.

You find a nice little bench in front of the pet store and sit
down to bide your time. As you sit there you watch in growing
amazement at the sheer number of people who had come down to the
pet store today to adopt a pet. It's all well and good for the
pets themselves but would there be any little pet left for you
to adopt?

Finally you manage to wind your way through the length of the
pet store and find yourself confronted by the cutest pair of
eyes staring out at you from within its confinements. It's still
a puppy certainly, and it is cute, but whether you could call it
small was slightly beyond you. You wanted to adopt a pet but
this might be ridiculous.

However you can't shake the sight of those beseeching eyes and
find yourself with an armload of Saint Bernard, a bowl, leash,
collar, and any other accoutrements that you deemed necessary to
keep the wiggling little beast happy. Adopt a pet day at the pet
store was a success, and your "adopt a pet" idea for your
niece's birthday was also a great success. Now if only your
sister thought so too when she caught sight of the overgrown
puppy in your hands!
